Role Description
We are recruiting for a Civil QC Inspector for a long term contract role, to work on site on behalf of our client, a major engineering contractor operating within the energy sector.
As Civil QC Inspector, you will report to the Quality Control manager. You will be part of a Decommissioning & Carbon Capture and Storage project, and will execute the specific inspections on material, equipment, steel structures, construction/installation activities and HVAC on site, in accordance with the QC Plan.
The Role:
- Follow relevant specified procedures, issue the relevant Quality Records and write non-conformances reports for the Quality Control Supervisor
- Verify the correct preparation of foundations and reinforcements
- Monitor atmospheric conditions during pouring operations and correct curing operations
- Check the certifications regarding element mixes, chemical analysis, grain size analysis, sampling operations
- Review the laboratory examination results, sub-grade dry density, moisture content, compression strength test, execution of casting, concrete pouring, materials quality (wire, fitting, etc.)
- Collect and manage documents certifying test, controls and inspection documents
- Ensure that all civil works and testing related records are properly retrievable within the final As- Built dossier
- In case of subcontractor activities, ensure the correct implementation of the approved QC/Inspection Test Plans, witnessing inspection and collecting relevant Quality Control records
- Ensure the conformity with the Quality Control Plan and obtain the relevant documentation
Requirements:
- 5 years as Civil QC Inspector or equivalent and 10 years in QC activities in the Oil & Gas industry or similar
- Degree in civil engineering
- Relevant Quality Control inspection experience
- IT skills: MS365

Working hours: 5 days per week plus Saturday mornings when required
Rate: £475 - £530 / day
