Environmental Officer

Environmental Officer required for a long term contract role, to work on site on behalf of our client, a major engineering contractor operating within the energy sector.  We are looking for candidates with around 3-5 years experience working on offshore and/or onshore oil & gas sector projects. 

The successful candidate will be part of the Health, Safety and Environmental department. You will implement HSE environment management systems in an operational context following the company HSE guidelines and standards. 

Job Description:

• Conduct environmental inspections and monitor subcontractors activities
• Deliver site inductions, training, and promote environmental awareness
• Update procedures and oversee implementation of management plans
• Ensure accurate reporting and KPI tracking
• Investigate incidents and support key personnel on site 

Skills/experience required:

BEng or BSc majoring in environmental engineering or similar

Experience: 3-5 years in offshore and onshore projects

Certification: ISO 140001 Lead Auditor

Duration: 12 months+

Full time contract role - outside IR35

Location: North Wales

Working hours: 5.5 days per week (to include Saturday mornings)
