Role Description
Technical Safety & Environmental Lead Engineer required for long term contract role based in Surrey.
We are currently seeking an experienced Technical Safety & Environmental Lead to work on behalf of our client, a global engineering design and construction contractor, on a 12 month FEED supporting the Aramco Shaybah Project**.
This exciting opportunity forms part of a major programme to increase and maintain maximum sustainable capacity across the Shaybah field's four Gas-Oil Separation Plants (GOSPs), alongside associated power plant and well injection facilities, helping to support the Kingdom's future energy requirements.
The Role
As the Technical Safety & Environmental Lead, you will provide technical leadership throughout the FEED phase, ensuring the highest standards of process safety and environmental compliance are achieved. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver safe, high-quality engineering solutions for this significant upstream oil & gas development.
Requirements
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
* Proven experience in a Technical Safety & Environmental Lead capacity on major oil & gas projects.
* Extensive experience working on FEED and/or EPC projects within the oil & gas industry.
* Previous experience on Saudi Aramco projects would be highly advantageous, although this is not essential
* Candidates with substantial experience delivering complex oil & gas projects for other major operators are also encouraged to apply.
* Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Contract details:
Start date: Early August 2026
Duration: c. 12 months
Location: Surrey. 40 hrs per week - 4 days office based, 1 day remote working.
Rate: c.£75 p/h Ltd Co rate. Role expected to fall outside of IR35.
