Role Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Materials Co-ordinator to support our client's BP NEP / NZT carbon capture project in Hartlepool, Teesside.# Materials Co-ordinator – Carbon Capture Project

This is an excellent opportunity for a materials and logistics professional with a strong background in material handling operations and project logistics, particularly those with experience in quayside, port or vessel operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the safe and efficient movement of project materials and equipment, working closely with project personnel, logistics teams and vessel representatives.

Experience gained within Oil & Gas, Energy, Offshore, Marine, Renewables, Engineering, EPC or other major project environments would be highly relevant.

Key Responsibilities

* Checking and manifesting container contents and raising Dangerous Goods Notes where required.

* Ensuring containers are loaded correctly and that all materials and equipment are securely fastened and prepared for transportation.

* Overseeing quayside operations, including vessel loading and discharging activities.

* Liaising with project personnel and vessel representatives to coordinate vessel port calls and material movements.

* Ensuring required materials and equipment are dispatched safely and in line with project requirements.

* Coordinating the movement and handling of project materials and equipment.

* Ensuring relevant customs procedures are correctly followed for material imports and exports.

* Maintaining accurate records and documentation relating to materials, containers and shipments.

* Supporting the smooth and efficient delivery of materials and logistics operations throughout the project.

 

We are looking for an experienced Materials Co-ordinator with:

* 6+ years' experience in materials coordination, materials management or a similar role.

* Proven experience overseeing material handling and logistics operations within a project environment.

* Experience of quayside, port, marine or vessel operations.

* Previous involvement in vessel loading and discharging and the movement of materials and equipment.

* Experience working with containers, manifests and project cargo.

* Knowledge of Dangerous Goods requirements and, ideally, experience preparing or raising Dangerous Goods Notes.

* Experience with customs procedures relating to material imports and exports.

* Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with multiple project stakeholders.

Relevant Background:

We would be particularly interested in hearing from candidates with experience in:

* Oil & Gas and Energy

* Offshore and Marine

* Renewables, including Offshore Wind

* Engineering and EPC projects

* Major construction and infrastructure projects

 

Experience in either onshore or offshore project environments will be considered. Previous experience working with shore bases, supply bases, port operations, quayside activities, offshore supply vessels or project cargo movements would be highly advantageous.

Location: Hartlepool, Teesside

Duration: 2–3 months

Hours: Full-time

IR35: Outside IR35

Start Date: As soon as possible
