Project Logistics Specialist

Packing & Logistics Specialist - Oil & Gas / Heavy Engineering

Our client is seeking an experienced Packing & Logistics Specialist to support the delivery of complex international oil & gas and heavy engineering projects.

This role is responsible for ensuring high-value equipment and materials are packed, preserved, marked and transported safely and compliantly from supplier facilities to final delivery locations worldwide.

The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, procurement, logistics and supplier teams to ensure all packing, shipping and transport activities meet project and international compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with project specifications, export requirements and international shipping standards
• Conduct supplier visits and packing inspections
• Review shipping documentation, packing lists and transport arrangements
• Support the transportation of heavy, abnormal and high-value project cargo
• Ensure appropriate preservation, corrosion protection and handling methods are applied
• Liaise with project logistics, engineering and procurement teams throughout project execution

Candidate Requirements

• Experience in logistics, packing or transportation within oil & gas, EPC or heavy engineering environments
• Strong knowledge of international shipping, export and customs compliance
• Experience with heavy equipment, project cargo or abnormal loads
• Supplier inspection or audit experience preferred
• Engineering, logistics or supply chain background advantageous

Full time contract role, c. 40 hrs per week. Mainly office based, some flexibilty for the occasional day of remote work.
