Role Description
We are currently recruiting for a Project Quality Engineer with at least 5 years experience working on construction site type projects, preferably within the onshore oil & gas or renewable energy sectors. You will be working on behalf of our client, a leading design and engineering contractor within the renewable energy industry, and will join their existing team working on a major Net Zero project based in the North East.
Job Description:
As a Project Quality Engineer you will respond to the QHSE Manager. You will support the Project Quality Manager in the planning and implementation of the Project Quality Management System (PQMS) activities within the Onshore project scope.
Duties to include:
- Ensure the identification, preparation and distribution of needed Project Quality Plans and procedures in accordance with the Company Quality Management System (QMS).
- Plan quality audits to check the correct implementation of the PQMS
- Conduct an external audit of Vendors' and Subcontractors' QMS
- Participates in Project Management meetings to ensure coordination between Quality activities and PM activities
- Supervise subcontractors and organisations in charge of the works
- Ensure management of site non-conformities
- Promote appropriate actions to prevent potential non-conformities and their causes
- Collect and analyse project quality data, also to organise and lead the Project Quality Management Review
- Ensure the management of the lessons learned process through the Reflex tool
- Report Project information and data to the Project’s Quality Manager.
Skills/experience required:
Education: Engineering degree (2:1 and above)
Certification: ISO 9001:2015 lead auditor
Experience: 5 years as Quality Engineer or similar in a Construction site project environment
Technical skills: audit, subcontractors management, material storage and preservation
