Pipelay Project Engineer

Fully qualified Pipelay Project Engineer required for staff position working for offshore oil & gas contractors based in South West London.

Reporting to the Senior Project Engineer or Construction Manager, the primary objective is to direct and co-ordinate the activities of a specific work scope as part of the Project team. Provide technical and administrative support  to ensure aims and objectives are effectively and economically achieved.

Candidates should be degree qualified engineers with experience in offshore construction and proven track record in project management.  Ideally, you should be familiar with offshore pipelines and subsea construction methods, together with practical experience of such offshore operations. Role will involve some offshore working and candidate should be flexible to support offshore construction and fabrication site work when necessary.

You will provide input to project plan, monitor and co-ordinate all phases of progress, ensuring assigned work scope deliverables are met on time and meet specified requirements.

You will also be required to ensure technical co-ordination of designated subcontracts, including attendance of interface meetings, participate in risk assessments, review project procedures, ensuring company’s QHSE policies, objectives and commitment to providing a safe working environment through all phases of the project are met.

Experience/Qualifications required:

• Degree qualification (mechanical, civil, naval or similar)
• 4+ years experience in project engineering / experience with oil & gas construction projects
