Planning Engineers(1 x Senior level role, 1 x intermediate level role) required for permanent positions within offshore oil & gas contractors based in Surrey.
Candidates should have a minimum of 8-10 years experience for the Senior level role, and a minimum of 5 years experience for the Intermediate level role. This experience must be within the oil & gas or fabrication sectors, and both of these positions would be ideal for someone looking for long term career progression.
Duties will include:
- Establish and manage effectively a planning and progress control system in order to support the Project Manager's decision-making process and allow him to complete the project according to the internal baselines and in compliance with the contractual dates and requirements.
- Ensure any deviation from plan is promptly spotted and analysed, final time impact is estimated and the effect of corrective actions taken is monitored.
- Create a schedule awareness atmosphere among all project
participants.
- During the initial phase after contract award: ensure the implementation of the Planning and Progress Control System
- Ensures, during the execution phase, the Planning and Progress Control System works effectively, progress status and completion forecast are soundly assessed and reported
- Assist the Project Control Engineer in the Project Status Report preparation
- Supports the PCE during the contract changes/claims process providing the time impact analysis
- Support the PCE for the preparation of the Project close-out Report and the schedule and productivity feed-back data to Project Control Department and Commercial Department
