Role Description
We are now recruiting for a Flow Assurance Engineer to join our client, a leading offshore oil & gas contractor based in SW London, on a permanent or contract basis.
The Flow Assurance Engineer will be involved in the development of front-end engineering activities during the concept, Pre-FEED and FEED stages of the projects.
Main duties/responsibilities of the job position include:
- Provide high quality concept and flow assurance support for the ongoing and future developments;
- Work within front-end engineering teams to meet the client’s field development plans and to conceive, screen and develop alternative solutions;
- Perform steady state and transient thermal-hydraulic analyses;
- Prepare technical reports to document the analyses;
- Prepare chemical injection, pigging and operating philosophies;
- Coordinate flow assurance activities carried out by others (in-house or in other offices);
- Provide an interface between subsurface, subsea and topsides disciplines;
- Participate in design reviews, HAZOPs and client-facing technical meetings;
- Train and mentor junior engineers;
- Participate in tender preparation and development of fit-for-purpose competitive proposals;
Skills & Experience
- Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g. Chemical Engineering);
- Significant flow assurance experience within oil and gas;
- Concept engineering and feasibility study experience;
- Strong knowledge of different subsea architectures/production systems;
- Competent user of simulation software such as Multiflash, PIPESIM and OLGA;
- Experience of subsurface and well modelling a benefit;
- Knowledge of the PetEx IPM suite (e.g. PROSPER) a benefit;
- Strong competency in report writing and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
- Good communication and organisational skills.
