Role Description

We are now recruiting for an experienced Buyer for a long term/ongoing contract role with our client, a leading offshore oil & gas design and engineering contractor, to be based at their UK head office in South West London.

We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 5 years oil & gas sector experience in Offshore Subcontracts (dredging, rock dumping, subsea works etc.)

Job Description: 

- Developing Bidders Lists and issue Request for Quotations. 

 - Prepare the commercial bid tabulation to compare different proposals and suggest actions to be taken in order to improve bid results and/or select the Supplier.

- Lead the commercial/economic negotiations.

- Prepare and issue Purchase Orders and Contract. 

- Close out the bid process receiving purchase/contract confirmation by selected Supplier  and informing the unsuccessful Suppliers about negative result of their bid.

- Follow up and negotiate, if necessary, purchase order/subcontract revisions

- Perform the assigned activities in compliance with procedures and provided systems and tools

- Manage and perform any other tasks required Procurement Supervisor/Manager. 

Software Used:

- Microsoft Office 

- Experience in SAP is preferred.

Qualifications and experience:

- Full understanding and experience of the complete Supply Chain process is necessary. 

- Knowledge in Procurement for EPCI Projects including the purchase of high complexity service and material Purchase order/Contracts for the fabrication yards

- Degree level qualification

- MCIPS or equivalent is advantageous

- Sound commercial/contractual knowledge with regard to procurement of goods and services. 


The role is an ongoing/long term contract role, to start ASAP.
