Role Description

Experienced Naval Architect required for an ongoing role to work as a Technical Advisor Naval Architect for our Surrey based client, working in the offshore oil & gas installation sector.  You will provide engineering services and technical support for design and analysis related to floating and fixed offshore structures. This role has a strong emphasis in the installation of fixed offshore structures.

As the installation lead you will primarily provide support related to this discipline but may get involved in other areas of naval architecture. Specific responsibilities are likely to be focused on the installation of topsides modules by crane vessel but may also include jacket launch and set-down and the removal of flotation tanks. We will look to you to work as a team member, potentially with direct supervision of personnel within the group, as well as working independently in engineering analyses.  The position requires an enthusiastic approach and a strong analytical background to be able to tackle the various challenges related to the installation of fixed structures.

We are looking for candidates with a degree level qualification in Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering or directly related discipline, and a minimum of 10 years experience is required.

This is an ongoing contract role, and is likely to fall outside of IR35 (but will be subject to a pre contract assessment).

Immediate start date.

All applicants must be eligible to work in the UK.
