Role Description

We are now recruiting for a number of Instrument Engineers for long term contract roles working for an international oil & gas design and engineering contractor, to be based full time at their UK head office in Surrey.

Minimum 3-5 years' experience with the development and engineering of EPC work processes  with familiarity with the various project phases and the scope/deliverables required.

  • Ability to interpret P&ID's, GA and prepare Instrumentation deliverables such as Datasheets, instrument connection diagrams, technical specifications, reports.
  • Must have a working knowledge and understanding of industry codes and standards e.g. IEC, ATEX, IP etc.
  • Support the evaluation and enhancement of control system operations.
  • Knowledgeable in Control Systems and PLC Ladder Logic and function block diagrams required.  Experience in Siemens systems would be an advantage.
  • Practical experience in the design, assembly, installation and repair of automation / control systems in an industrial environment is also desirable.

Duration: c.6 months +

Rate: c.£44-55 p/h.  Role expected to fall outside of IR35 but is subject to a pre-contract determination assessment

Location: Surrey

Working hours: 40 hrs p/w (5 days full time office based)
