Role Description

Experienced Technical Clerk required for ongoing contract role, working for a engineering design contractor based in South London.

The role:

- To provide administrative support to the renewables group / project team

- To work efficiently and to the project schedule requirements

- Supporting the Project Manager and acquiring operational, commercial and technical data as required

- Assisting with the regular updating of project documentation

- Maintenance of filing systems for the Group on a specific project. 

- Accompany Lead Engineers to meetings – as requested 

- Photocopying, scanning etc – as requested 

- Dealing with document transmittals and drawings 

- Collection / Distribution of internal mail, timesheets etc 

- Booking conference rooms. 

- Organising new starters onto induction courses 

- Dealing with TQ/EQs and Client / IVB / MWS comments sheets

- Receiving and handling of telephone calls for Engineers in their absence 

- Maintenance of man-hour progress spreadsheets with cost code bookings – weekly (MS Excel). 

- Prepare and maintain administrative spreadsheets 

- Maintain timesheet central filing system. 

- Prepare & submit travel forms for approval. 

- Arrange travel 

- Prepare and obtain overtime sheet approval by client and submit to the project managers on a weekly basis.


Previous experience as a Technical Clerk within the oil & gas or renewable energy sector is essential.

Location: SW London/N Surrey area

Rate: £17-20 p/h PAYE

37.5 hrs per week
