Senior Project Control Co-ordinator required for permanent staff role within offshore oil & gas engineering contractors based in Aberdeen.
Role Analysis:
- Organise & manage the Project Control department of the company.
- Provide Project Teams with adequate servives for effective planning and control of schedules, progress, cost & risks.
- Provide Company Management Function with projects data needed for budget and quarterly forecast reporting.
- Ensure economic control at a consolidated level of complex multi-company projects.
- Foster the development of the Project Management culture and systems, monitoring that they are adequately and correctly applied in the operating teams.
- Maintain an adequate documentation system of the Operating Company in accordance with corporate guidelines.
- Co-ordinate with corporate project control departments for resources assignemnts
- Issue required report/analysis to corporate project control department and to the business unit.
Duties will include:
- Establish the project control philosophy according to the company mission statement and inline with corporate guidelines, addressing the Operating Company Project Control Organisation (roles, skills, methods, techniques and procedures).
- Staff and manage all departmental resources (project control engineers, planning engineers, cost control engineers, risk engineers) required for an adequate control of Projects, co-ordinating workload analysis, recruitment, training, assignment to Project Teams, supervision, performance evaluation.
- Establish the requirements and co-ordinate the implementation of systems tools and applications necessary to support the project control activities.
- Manage all interface issues with other company functions.
- Address the design & set up of the control system on the main complex projects, scaling the control effort and the standard procedures to the specific complexity.
- Organise and maintain project control databased and the feedback system to the commercial department.
- Maintaing a systematic liaison with the corporate function, ensuring full compliance and application of corporate guidelines and standards.
Candidates must have previous Project Control experience within the offshore oil & gas industry with emphasis on cost control, and EPIC experience is preferred.
