Subcontract Engineer/Buyer

Subcontract Engineer required for contract role within the Procurement department of an offshore oil & gas contracting company based in Surrey.

The successful candidate will be in charge of liaising on a daily basis with project managers and engineers in order to understand the type of services/goods that you will be required to buy. You will also need to qualify suppliers and select the one that is most suited to the work.

Main duties will include the issuing of Charter Party for third party vessels (tugs, QHTS, barges) and/or subcontract for pipeline or heavy lift projects (dredging, rockdumping, precommissioning, steel fabrication etc).

Candidates must have previous experience as a buyer/subcontract engineer in offshore companies, and be familiar with the use of SAP.
