Ideally, you will be a Senior Engineer with strong structural engineering capability able to develop structural enguineering skills for offshore engineering applications
Experience of preparing structural design basis, reports, structural design specifications, construction and installation work procedures.
Preparation of high quality detailed design hand calculations
Experience in structural analysis and design of offshore platforms
Conversant with one of the major offshore structural design codes (API, AISC, DnV, NORSOK, Eurocode 3)
Experience in the detailed design of templates, grillage, sea fastenings, lift rigging points for a range of structures to be installed offshore&#38;nbsp;
Software Skills:

Contractor and or Operating Company EPC Industrial experience in some of the following is essential:&#38;nbsp;LPG LNG GAS Compression oil refining, syn crude processing etc, possibly Olefins. Developing commissioning and start up integrated planning on grass roots and revamps of complexes containing some or all of the following - crude distillation hydrotreater vac dist hydrocracker cat reformers splitters hydrogen production
The work content could be major EPC, FEED or across 1 or 2 studies or proposals in parallel depending on the client's needs
Vital to this role is the ability to take an engineering concept and deliver coherent &#38;nbsp;and high quality written and verbal documents and presentations on the execution and planning.&#38;nbsp;
&#38;nbsp;A knowledge of practical plant design which can be fed back into the design process to achieve a practical design is also essential.

Detailed knowledge of all of the following areas:

&#38;bull; Fire suppression (sprinkler and gaseous)
&#38;bull; Fire fighting installations ( dry and wet risers)
&#38;bull; Smoke dispersal, control and removal&#38;nbsp;
&#38;bull; Pressurization of fire fighting shafts
&#38;bull; Fire service access into and through the building
&#38;bull; Emergency and standby electrical supplies
&#38;bull; Fire safety and means of escape in buildings, including appropriate standards and codes of practice.&#38;nbsp;
&#38;bull; Supervision of building work on site
&#38;bull; Dangerous structures, including appropriate remedial action to make safe.


Qualifications:



Degree or HNC in building, building surveying, Mechanical and electrical engineering and relevant post qualification experience, or able to demonstrate a comparable level of knowledge and skills obtained through relevant experience.

Verification of conformity of design against industry accepted practices and international rules, regulations and legislation.
Confirmation of the positioning, stability and structural strength of the installation and transportation vessels for conducting the intended operations.
Studies of marine operations such as loadout, transportation, launch, mooring, dynamic positioning, lifting upending, docking, set-down and removal. 
Optimisation of the sequences of operations performed by the vessels involved to enhance operability and to minimise the duration and risk of the operation.
Model testing of offshore installation operations, ranging from the preparation of the correct technical specifications to supervision of the tests and subsequent analysis and interpretation of results.
Review and approve installation engineering design criteria and other relevant project technical documents.
Preparation of reports detailing the results of calculations and studies.
Checking of reports and calculations produced by other naval architects or external organisations.

Qualifications &#38;amp; Experience required:Ideally, we are looking for a degree qualified Chartered Engineer with a minimum of 5-8+ years analytical experience in Naval Architecture related to transportation and installation of offshore structures.
